Mines have been a serious threat to Yemenis for decades, but their danger doubled insanely after the militia coup, as the latter not only stole Yemen’s happiness by waging war on land and people, but continued to be the first threat to life continuation through death boxes.
Blowing up homes, mosques, schools and killing innocent people in cold blood by buried mines scattered randomly, aiming to cause the largest possible number of victims, mines settled in cities entrances, villages, streets and residential neighborhoods turned most children in several areas to be disabled due to terrorism buried under the ground.
The misfortunes of mines victims have become the daily news for Yemenis, and sadness ingrain their faces, but the good hands of Masam came to Yemen to wipe away the tears pouring out due to the killing of civilians and to remove the gloom crippled on the chests of their relatives, and to eradicate the malignant tumor that afflicted Yemen.
Masam engineering teams, inhabited by goodness and love of human giving, have worked since they set their feet in Yemen to remove mines and unexploded ordnance, as the project teams were distributed in liberated areas to neutralize the deadly cans, and continuing their human perseverance to rescue Yemeni people from the explosive swamp which they were thrown into it by force.
The slogan of Project Masam is, “Saving Life”, a symbol of its humanitarian faith and belief in the human right to a safe life, which is what his close-knit family strives to achieve.
The members of Masam teams fight a fierce battle against mines on daily basis, risking their lives for the sake of this noble goal. Clearing Yemeni lands of mines and unexploded ordnance that has dire consequences and effects the land and society is Masam desired goal aiming to restore to the Yemeni society the pulse of his stolen life .. This community is still waiting for salvation from this epidemic, while the international community silently monitors its situation.
