Project Masam’s Operations Room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the first week of September 1353 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
The Operations Manager in project Masam Mr. Retief Horn said that the clearing teams cleared during last week 1049 unexploded ordnance and 9 explosive devices.
Mr. Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 277 anti-tank landmines and 18 anti-personnel landmines.
For his part, the Managing Director of project Masam Mr. Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 4th of September reached 183581 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Algosaibi noted that Masam’s teams were able to clear 292.609 square meters of Yemeni lands from the 29th of August to the 4th of September.
Mr. Algosaibi added in his statement that Masam’s teams were able to clear 13.868.757 square meters of Yemeni lands that were mined with landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
