In his turn, the leader of Masam’s team 7 colonel Mohammad Al Aajra said that when his team went to Al Khokha directorate in late November 2018, the whole area was infested with mines.
Colonel Al Aajra added in an exclusive interview with Masam’s media office that Al Khokha’s inhabitants were quasi-besieged due to the Houthis’ mining of all main roads and sub-roads, and that 70 % of the farms were not suitable for investment, and work stopped in them because of the mines.
The leader of Masam’s team 7 noted that his team started its mission in Al Khokha with an emergency plan to open the main roads and sub-roads in the populated villages, and then his team went on to secure homes and farms for the inhabitants.
Colonel Al Aajra confirmed that his team has been able until now to clear 12 minefields, all of them roads and farms, and the team has been able to remove more than 1500 anti-armor mines, 20 anti-personnel mines and 20 explosive devices.
The leader of Masam’s team 7 noted that thanks to the support and backup provided by the Masam project represented by the Managing Director, and thanks to the efforts made by his team, the land breathed, and the inhabitants of Al Khokha directorate were able to go back to their farms and normal lives in a safe manner.
