Project Masam’s operations room has announced that last week, the project teams removed 782 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
In its statement, Project Masam confirmed the demining teams removed 165 anti-tank mines, 612 UXO and five IEDs this week alone.
The total area cleared since the beginning of the project in mid-2018 stands at 45,367,536sqm.
