Project Masam’s operations room has announced that last week, the project teams removed 1,339 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Masam Operations said in a statement that the project teams removed 1,259 UXO and four IEDs along with nine banned anti-personnel mines and 67 anti-tank mines this past week alone.
The demining teams succeeded in clearing 278,682 square metres this week.
Masam teams managed to clear 47,011,090 square metres of Yemeni land since the beginning of the project in mid-2018.
