Masam removes 1,045 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices

Project Masam’s operations room has announced that the project teams have removed 1,045 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices last week, bringing the total number of explosives removed from early January up to 3,534.

In its statement, Project Masam said that the project teams have removed 896 unexploded ordnance and three explosive devices since the beginning of the month. Management added that the project teams removed this week during the same period 131 anti-tank and 15 anti-personnel mines.

Last week (14 December 2022 – 20 January 2023), the Masam teams succeeded in clearing 198,480sqm of the Yemen liberated land, bringing the total area cleared since the beginning of the project in mid-2018 to 43,389,537sqm.
