We are proud to support our partners Mayyun for Human Rights and Development and Peace for Children’s photo exhibition in Sweden.

Held in the city of Gothenburg, the exhibition showed a true picture of the reality about the grave violations committed against children in Yemen, including those victims of landmines planted by the Houthis and child recruitment.

The exhibition also screened a short film that depicted the stories of children who have been psychologically affected by to the war that erupted in March 2015.

Abdo Al-Hudhaifi, head of Mayyun for Human Rights and Development, highlighted the exhibition comes in the context of the important role played by his organisation in defense of the human rights and in protection of children in Yemen.

Al-Hudhaifi also pointed out the importance of holding the event in Sweden, a country that plays a key role in the peace process in Yemen through its Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg.

The diplomat is also the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen.

In cooperation with the Dutch Center, Mayyum also held a photo exhibition about child victims of recruitment in Yemen in the Dutch city of Haarlem. The exhibition was attended by Sahar Ghanem, Yemen’s ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
