Schools were not spared from the bloodbaths that the Houthi militia decided to devour over various parts of Yemen through their hysterical mine planting.
So these death traps have never known mercy, and never thought of repentance, as their approach is only blood, where they never got enough.
Children’s schools are still one of the vital targets of Houthi mines, as explosive death traps are planted in the surroundings and yards of schools, classrooms, and even in toilets, so that bloodsuckers, supervisors and mine-laying workers do not waste any opportunity to harm their innocent victims in a hideous way. It is a reality that Masam opens their eyes wide on and treat it with expertise and wisdom in order to ensure the safety of the lives of defenseless civilians.
In this context, the 26th team of the Masam de-mining project in Yemen was able recently to recover a landmine planted by unidentified people in the vicinity of Al-Fouz school in Al-Asilah village in Al-Khawkhah district of Al-Hudaydah governorate.
In a statement issued to Masam Media Office, Engineer Sami Saeed, Team Leader 26, confirmed that the mine recovered from the vicinity of Al-Fouz School was a locally made anti-armor landmine, indicating that his team received a notification from a citizen of the existence of the mine, and the team immediately responded to the report. The mine was recovered, civilians and students of the school were secured from its danger.
In this context, Eng. Sami Saeed called on citizens in the Al-Asilah area to avoid tampering with any foreign objects and report them immediately in order to ensure their safety, thanking the people for the awareness they showed towards mines and informing the competent authorities to deal with these situations.
On the other hand, citizen Ali Fartout, who is from the Asilah area and owns a shop next to the Al Fouz school, confirmed that the mine that the Masam project team removed would have caused a disaster against the school’s students, sending a message of thanks and appreciation to the Masam team, who responded to the report and went to the area to retrieve the mine and nullify it. immediately.
Here, Masam continues his humanitarian marathon in order to prevent these mines from being enslaved to the innocent, shedding of their blood, confiscating their lives and sources of power, and undermining the educational platforms for future generations, as Masam’s efforts are combined to push Yemen and the Yemenis towards a safe haven under the title “Zero Mine.”
