Project Masam’s Operations Room announced that the project’s teams cleared during the 3rd week of September 1464 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Masam’s Operations Room indicated that the project’s teams cleared since the 29th of August until the 18th of September 4317 landmines and unexploded ordnance.
Project Masam’s Operations Manager Mr. Retief Horn said that the clearing teams cleared during last week 1105 unexploded ordnance and 32 explosive devices.
Mr. Retief added that the teams cleared also during last week 326 anti-tank landmines and one anti-personnel landmine.
For his part, project Masam’s Managing Director Mr. Ousama Algosaibi said in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of what Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 18th of September reached 186545 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Algosaibi noted that Masam’s teams were able last week to clear 302.328 square meters of Yemeni lands, which brings the total size of lands that the teams cleared since the 29th of August until the 18th of September to 920.330 square meters.
Mr. Algosaibi added in his statement that Masam’s teams since the launch of the project in late June 2018 were able to clear 14.496.478 square meters of Yemeni lands that were mined with landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
