The Managing Director of project Masam Mr Ousama Algosaibi announced that Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project until the 17th of July 175124 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Mr Algosaibi said that the clearing teams cleared since late June 2018 until now 113737 unexploded ordnance.
Algosaibi added in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total number of explosive devices that were cleared by the teams since the launch of the project until the 17th of July reached 4984.
For his part, Masam’s Operations Manager in Yemen, Mr Retief Horn said that Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project 54221 anti-tank landmines and 2182 anti-personnel landmines.
Meanwhile, project Masam’s Managing Director noted that the size of lands that were cleared during last week reached 371625 square meters.
In conclusion, the size of Yemeni lands which were cleared and secured by Masam’s teams since June 2018 until now reached 12.268.558 square meters.
