Yemeni student Moubeen Abu Aser has said that Project Masam’s landmine clearance in the governorate of Marib was a psychological achievement.
Discussing Masam’s mine action efforts, the student said these achievements had come with great human sacrifices in his heavily contaminated Marib governorate.
Had it not been for Masam’s work in this governorate, life would have been impossible, due to the deadly explosive devices that claimed lives and harmed homes, villages, farms, schools and vital facilities, Moubeen said.
Moubeen expressed his thanks to Masam teams for their sacrifices, expertise and equipment, and determination to rid Yemen of explosive devices.
Moubeen added that, thanks to Masam, life in areas of Marib governorate was back to normal, and people have begun to feel safe again.
The student said he considered this step a very important “psychological achievement”, in addition to Project Masam’s accomplishments in the region.
