Colonel Amer Al Bahri, the leader of team 2 Masam indicated that the project’s members received training courses about the Coronavirus pandemic which spread all over the world, as he noted that the Saudi project to clear mines (Masam) which works under the slogan “life.. without landmines”, will continue to work in Yemen even with the presence of this pandemic, because Masam’s efforts in Yemen are merely humanitarian, so we have to continue this noble mission despite the threat of Coronavirus, as he put it.
The awareness training course about Coronavirus provided Masam’s teams with very important information about the nature of the virus and how it infects people and the ways of prevention from it, and that is what Colonel Amer Al Bahri indicated by saying: “The awareness course provided us with precious information about Coronavirus, and we are ready today to be deployed in the field, as we in Yemen, have an urgent need to get rid of these mines that are no less deadly than Corona, and that is what the Managing Director of project Masam Mr Ousama Algosaibi indicated on different media platforms; that Coronavirus and the mines both kill humans, and we are ready today to work to defeat the deadly traps in Yemen”.
Amer Al Bahri ended his statement by saying: Masam’s teams are working today on the ground, taking precautionary measures against the virus, through the full implementation of safety standards such as: wearing face masks, and refraining from touching the surfaces directly, handshaking and gathering in big groups.
