As of 24 October 2025, Project Masam’s demining teams have cleared a total of 4,130 explosive devices and 1,100,201 square metres of land across Yemen during October 2025. These latest figures highlight the project’s ongoing nationwide operations to safeguard civilians and enable safe access to homes, roads, and vital infrastructure.
During the most recent reporting week (18-24 October 2025), Project Masam teams removed 805 explosive devices, including 25 anti-personnel mines, 102 anti-tank mines, 676 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and two improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Clearance operations during this period covered 295,172 square metres of land.
Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared 520,629 explosive devices across Yemen – including 6,947 anti-personnel mines, 147,654 anti-tank mines, 357,741 UXO, and 8,287 IEDs – making more than 72,012,339 square metres of land safe for civilian use.
