As of 10 October 2025, Project Masam’s demining teams have cleared a total of 2,134 explosive devices and 538,870 square metres of land across Yemen during October 2025. These latest figures highlight the project’s ongoing nationwide operations to safeguard civilians and enable safe access to homes, roads, and vital infrastructure.
During the most recent reporting week (4 -10 October 2025), Project Masam teams removed 815 explosive devices, including six anti-personnel mines, 56 anti-tank mines, 748 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and five improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Clearance operations during this period covered 286,314 square metres of land.
Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has removed 518,633 explosive devices across Yemen – including 6,917 anti-personnel mines, 147,503 anti-tank mines, 355,930 UXO, and 8,283 IEDs – clearing a total of 71,451,008 square metres of land for safe civilian use.
