As of 19 September 2025, Project Masam teams have cleared a total of 2,129 explosive devices and 852,551 square metres of land across Yemen during the month of September to date.
These figures reflect the project’s sustained efforts across multiple governorates, where demining operations continue to prioritise civilian areas, including homes, roads, and critical infrastructure.
During the most recent reporting week (13 – 19 September 2025), Project Masam demining teams removed 1,026 explosive devices, including 21 anti-personnel mines, 67 anti-tank mines, and 938 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO). Clearance operations during this period covered 275,592 square metres of land.
This followed the week of 6 – 12 September 2025, in which Project Masam cleared 1,103 explosive devices and 276,667 square metres of land. The week before that (30 August – 5 September 2025), teams cleared 767 explosive devices and 300,292 square metres.
Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared a total of 515,219 explosive devices across Yemen. This includes 6,877 anti-personnel mines, 147,269 anti-tank mines, 352,797 UXO, and 8,276 improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
To date, Project Masam’s operations have made more than 70,595,567 square metres of land safe for civilians, easing the return of displaced families and supporting humanitarian access.
