As of 5 September 2025, Project Masam teams have cleared a total of 767 explosive devices and 300,292 square metres of land in Yemen during the month of September to date.
These figures reflect the project’s sustained efforts across multiple governorates, where demining operations continue to prioritise civilian areas, including homes, roads, and critical infrastructure.
During the most recent reporting week (30 August – 5 September 2025), Project Masam demining teams removed 767 explosive devices, including eight anti-personnel mines, 30 anti-tank mines, 726 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and three improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Clearance operations during this period covered 300,292 square metres.
This followed the week of 23 – 29 August 2025, in which Masam cleared 968 explosive devices and 242,492 square metres of land.
Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared 513,090 explosive devices across Yemen. This includes 6,852 anti-personnel mines, 147,151 anti-tank mines, 350,812 UXO, and 8,275 IEDs.
To date, Project Masam’s operations have covered more than 70 million square metres of cleared land.
