Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 2,456 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in June 2025.
Project Masam’s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams cleared 1,317 explosive items last week (7–13 June), including 38 anti-tank mines, 1,276 UXO, and three IEDs during the period.
This brings the total number of items removed between 1 and 13 June to 2,456.
The project’s demining teams cleared 5,250 square metres of Yemeni land last week, bringing the total area cleared in June so far to 152,171 square metres.
Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 67,585,167 square metres of Yemeni land.
