The Managing Director of project Masam Mr Ousama Algosaibi announced that Masam’s teams cleared from the launch of the project to the 7th of August 178541 landmines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices.
Mr Algosaibi said that the project’s clearing teams cleared since late June 2018 until now 116508 unexploded ordnance.
Algosaibi added in a statement published by Masam’s media office that the total of explosive devices which were cleared by the teams from the launch of the project to the 7th of August reached 4989.
For his part, the Operations Manager in project Masam Mr Retief Horn said that Masam’s teams cleared since the launch of the project 54840 anti-tank landmines and 2204 anti-personnel landmines.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of project Masam indicated that the total size of lands which were cleared last week reached 141443 square meters.
And in conclusion, the total size of Yemeni lands that Masam’s teams cleared and secured since June 2018 until now reached 12.694.128 square meters.
