Yemeni National Army announced the discovery of 6 marine mines planted by the Houthis, off Midi coast, Hajjah Governorate, northwest the Red Sea.
In a brief statement for the Fifth Military Region, mentioned that, “It’s naval formation affiliated and the Arab coalition naval found 6 new marine mines across the Red Sea, where these mines were cleared and detonated.
On Friday, the Arab coalition said that a sea mine planted by the Houthis exploded “in a commercial ship south of the Red Sea, and caused minor damage to the ship bow without causing any casualties.”
Last Thursday, the coalition also announced the “discovery and destruction of 4 Iranian-made marine mines, type Sadaf, planted by the Houthi militia.”
The coalition indicated that it destroyed 175 sea mines indiscriminately planted by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea, stressing that planting marine mines is a serious threat to international shipping and global trade.
