As of 18 July 2025, Project Masam teams have cleared a total of 3,701 explosive devices and 537,558 square metres of land in Yemen during the month of July alone.
These figures reflect the project’s sustained efforts across multiple governorates, where demining operations continue to prioritise civilian areas, including homes, roads, and critical infrastructure.
During the most recent reporting week (12 – 18 July 2025), Project Masam demining teams removed 971 explosive devices, including one anti-personnel mine, 78 anti-tank mines, 891 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and one improvised explosive device (IED). Clearance operations during this period covered 169,910 square metres.
In the week prior (5–11 July 2025), teams cleared 191,469 square metres and removed 1,171 explosive devices, including one anti-personnel mine, 46 anti-tank mines, and 1,124 UXO. No IEDs were recorded that week.
These two reporting periods followed another high-output week (28 June – 4 July 2025), when teams removed 1,559 explosive devices, including one anti-personnel mine, 45 anti-tank mines, and 1,513 UXO, while clearing 176,179 square metres of land.
Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared 506,437 explosive devices across Yemen. This includes 6,823 anti-personnel mines, 146,908 anti-tank mines, 344,461 UXO, and 8,245 IEDs
To date, Project Masam’s operations have covered more than 68.5 million square metres of cleared land.
