After being stuck in a limbo for years due to shifting frontlines and the presence of Houthi landmines, Bani Al-Fartoot village in Al-Khokha has finally found a way out after Project Masam came to clear explosive threats, allowing the village to recover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By bringing its expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, Masam’s Team 26 was able to clear 173 landmines, which helped displaced civilians return to their village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Houses have been rebuilt, roads revived, lands cultivated and hearts liberated from fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team’s leader, Engineer Sami Saeed, said that his team had received a report from locals after explosions killed sheep and destroyed a tiller and motorcycle in Bani Al-Fartoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team cleared a secondary road from Bani Al-Fartoot leading to Al-Khokha and
Hays, and a secondary road leading to Al-Shehil and Al-Run villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team 26’s deputy team leader, Engineer Mohammad Olwan, told how the village had been completely booby-trapped by landmines<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local human rights organisation was able to visit the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sami Awad Moheb, a human rights activist from Al-Khokha, welcomed the clearance achievements in Bani Al-Fartoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
