{"id":2537,"date":"2022-07-17T09:11:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-17T09:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projectmasam.com\/v2\/?p=2537"},"modified":"2022-07-17T09:11:00","modified_gmt":"2022-07-17T09:11:00","slug":"masam-announces-new-landmark-in-yemen-as-it-clears-350000-deadly-explosive-items","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/masam-announces-new-landmark-in-yemen-as-it-clears-350000-deadly-explosive-items\/","title":{"rendered":"Masam announces new landmark in Yemen as it clears 350,000 deadly explosive items"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Project Masam is proud to announce it has reached a milestone of 350,000 explosive items located, removed and destroyed across Yemen, as it continues its life-saving work to protect civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operating since mid-2018, Masam currently has 32 teams working in liberated areas across the country and conducts humanitarian clearance in accordance with priorities set by the Yemeni National Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 17 July 2022, Managing Director and Programme Manager Ousama Algosaibi announced the teams had cleared a total of&nbsp;350,421 anti-personnel landmines, anti-tank landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is another huge milestone for our demining teams and for Yemenis.
