He was travelling on his donkey when a landmine detonated.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"942\">He explained that the explosion resulted in the amputation of both lower limbs, while his donkey was killed instantly. The incident left him with a permanent disability and removed his family\u2019s primary source of income.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"1235\">Kadish said landmines continue to affect residents in the area, stating that they have caused widespread fear among communities. He noted that he had previously warned others, including displaced people, about the dangers of contaminated areas, but did not expect to become a victim himself.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1557\">He accused Houthi forces of planting large numbers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/yemeni-tribal-sheikh-warns-landmines-have-turned-abs-farmland-into-dangerous-areas\/\">landmines and explosive devices<\/a> in the area before withdrawing, with lasting consequences for civilians and local livelihoods.
