{"id":22734,"date":"2025-11-16T09:40:17","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T09:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=22734"},"modified":"2025-11-16T09:40:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-16T09:40:17","slug":"project-masam-clears-2890-landmines-uxo-and-ieds-during-november-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-2890-landmines-uxo-and-ieds-during-november-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Masam clears 2,890 landmines, UXO, and IEDs during November 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"2007\" data-end=\"2237\">Project Masam has announced that its teams cleared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-524624-landmines-and-explosive-threats-in-yemen\/\">2,890 explosive items<\/a> during the first two weeks of November 2025 (1-14 November), as part of its ongoing mission to remove landmines and explosive remnants of war from Yemen&#8217;s liberated areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2473\">According to the Media Office, the November total so far includes 2,710 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), 157 anti-tank mines, 10 anti-personnel mines and 13 improvised explosive devices (IEDs).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2618\">In the same period, clearance teams made 855,201 square metres of land safe for farming, access routes, grazing areas, and residential use.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2620\" data-end=\"2875\">During the most recent reporting week (8-14 November 2025), Project Masam teams cleared 1,846 explosive devices, including five\u00a0anti-personnel mines, 78 anti-tank mines, 1,753 UXO, and 10 IEDs, restoring 417,792 square metres of land.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2877\" data-end=\"3056\">Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared 524,624 explosive devices and over 73.26 million square metres of contaminated land across Yemen\u2019s liberated areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3058\" data-end=\"3263\">Project Masam continues to work alongside local authorities, YEMAC, and affected communities to reduce the long-term risks posed by landmine contamination and support safer conditions for Yemen\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Masam has announced that its teams cleared 2,890 explosive items during the first two weeks of November 2025 (1-14 November), as part of its ongoing mission to remove landmines and explosive remnants of war from Yemen&#8217;s liberated areas.
