{"id":22720,"date":"2025-11-09T08:49:19","date_gmt":"2025-11-09T08:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=22720"},"modified":"2025-11-09T08:49:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-09T08:49:19","slug":"project-masam-clears-1044-landmines-unexploded-ordnance-and-improvised-explosive-devices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-1044-landmines-unexploded-ordnance-and-improvised-explosive-devices\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Masam clears 1,044 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2282\">Project Masam has announced that its field teams cleared 1,044 explosive items during the first week of November 2025, as part of its ongoing nationwide mission to remove landmines and explosive remnants of war.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2496\">According to the Project\u2019s Media Office, the cleared items included 957 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), 79 anti-tank mines, five\u00a0anti-personnel mines, and three\u00a0improvised explosive devices (IEDs).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2498\" data-end=\"2719\">During the same period, Project Masam teams cleared 437,409 square metres of contaminated land, restoring safety to agricultural areas, access roads, and residential zones previously threatened by explosive hazards.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2924\">Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam\u2019s total clearance output has reached <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-522778-landmines-and-explosive-threats-in-yemen\/\">522,778 explosive devices<\/a> and over 72.85 million square metres of cleared land across Yemen\u2019s liberated regions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2926\" data-end=\"3173\">The project remains dedicated to protecting civilians and enabling recovery by working alongside local authorities, the Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre (YEMAC), and affected communities to reduce the long-term risks of landmine contamination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Masam has announced that its field teams cleared 1,044 explosive items during the first week of November 2025, as part of its ongoing nationwide mission to remove landmines and explosive remnants of war.
