These latest figures highlight the project\u2019s ongoing nationwide operations to safeguard civilians and enable safe access to homes, roads, and vital infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"533\" data-end=\"882\">During the most recent reporting week (11-17 October 2025), Project Masam teams removed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-519824-landmines-and-explosive-threats-in-yemen\/\">1,191 explosive devices<\/a>, including five anti-personnel mines, 49 anti-tank mines, 1,135 items of unexploded ordnance (UXO), and two improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Clearance operations during this period covered 266,159 square metres of land.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1160\">Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam has cleared 519,824 explosive devices across Yemen \u2013 including 6,922 anti-personnel mines, 147,552 anti-tank mines, 357,065 UXO, and 8,285 IEDs \u2013 making more than 71,717,167 square metres of land safe for civilian use.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1371\">Project Masam remains committed to its life-saving mission of protecting communities by removing explosive hazards from Yemen\u2019s liberated regions, enabling safer movement for civilians and aid workers alike.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of 17 October 2025, Project Masam\u2019s demining teams have cleared a total of 3,325 explosive devices and 805,029 square metres of land across Yemen during October 2025.
