Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 2,158 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) so far in March 2025.<\/p>\n

While many Project Masam teams were on annual leave during Ramadan, reserve and emergency teams continued operations.<\/p>\n

Project Masam\u2019s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams cleared\u00a0552 landmines and UXO last week<\/a>, including 35 anti-tank mines, 513 UXO, and four IEDs during the period.<\/div>\n

This brings the total number of items removed between 1 March and 21 March to 2,158.<\/div>\n

The project\u2019s demining teams cleared 4,750 square metres of Yemeni land last week; clearing a total of 217,657 square metres so far in March.<\/div>\n
