{"id":21520,"date":"2024-12-01T05:34:31","date_gmt":"2024-12-01T05:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=21520"},"modified":"2024-12-01T05:34:31","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T05:34:31","slug":"project-masam-clears-2967-landmines-unexploded-ordnance-and-improvised-explosive-devices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-2967-landmines-unexploded-ordnance-and-improvised-explosive-devices\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Masam clears 2,967 landmines, unexploded ordnance, and improvised explosive devices"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 2,967 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in November 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Project Masam\u2019s Operations Room said in a statement that the teams cleared\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-471034-landmines-and-explosive-threats-in-yemen\/\">618 landmines and UXO last week<\/a>, including one anti-personnel landmine, 23 anti-tank mines, and 594 UXO during the period.<\/p>\n<p>This brings the total number of items removed between 1 November and 22 November to 2,967.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the demining teams removed 35 anti-personnel mines, 214 anti-tank mines, 2,715 UXO and three IEDs in November.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s demining teams cleared 276,790 square metres of Yemeni land last week, according to the statement, bringing the total cleared so far this month to 940,792.<\/p>\n<p>Since the start of the project at the end of June 2018, Project Masam teams have cleared 62,389,146 square metres of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-clears-1390-landmines-unexploded-ordnance-and-improvised-explosive-devices\/\">Yemeni land<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 2,967 landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in November 2024.
