{"id":19892,"date":"2023-06-26T20:19:55","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T20:19:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=19892"},"modified":"2023-06-26T20:26:27","modified_gmt":"2023-06-26T20:26:27","slug":"project-masam-to-receive-medal-of-courage-for-yemens-presidential-leadership-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-to-receive-medal-of-courage-for-yemens-presidential-leadership-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Masam to receive Medal of Courage from Yemen&#8217;s Presidential Leadership Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Yemeni\u00a0Presidential Leadership Council President Rashad al-Alimi will award the National Program for Mine Action and Project Masam the Medal of Courage, <a href=\"https:\/\/ydn.news\/?p=7639\">Yemen Daily News<\/a> has announced today.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, June 26, Al-Alimi issued two decrees &#8211; Republican Decree No. (15) of 2023, Article 1 and Republican Decree No. (16) of 2023, Article 1 &#8211; which stipulate, respectively, awarding the National Program for Mine Action, and Saudi-funded Project Masam the &#8220;Medal of Courage&#8221; for their efforts in clearing Yemen of landmines, the <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/ydnnews1\">official news agency Saba<\/a> announced.<\/p>\n<p>The two decisions stipulated that they are implemented from the date of their issuance and published in the official newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Since its launch in mid-2018, Project Masam in conjunction with the National Program for Mine Action&#8217;s Executive Centre in Aden (YEMAC) has located and cleared 405,213 explosive devices in Yemeni liberated areas.<\/p>\n<p>These include 6,258 anti-personnel mines, 139,709 anti-tank mines, 7,806 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 251,410 unexploded ordnance (UXO) neutralised over 47,485,089 sqm of land since June 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Yemeni\u00a0Presidential Leadership Council President Rashad al-Alimi will award the National Program for Mine Action and Project Masam the Medal of Courage, Yemen Daily News has announced today.
