{"id":19381,"date":"2023-02-15T09:08:35","date_gmt":"2023-02-15T09:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=19381"},"modified":"2023-02-15T14:18:19","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T14:18:19","slug":"masam-removes-30-landmines-after-two-children-killed-and-one-injured-in-mine-explosion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/masam-removes-30-landmines-after-two-children-killed-and-one-injured-in-mine-explosion\/","title":{"rendered":"Masam removes 30 landmines after two children killed and one injured in mine explosion"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Two children were killed and another one was injured on Tuesday evening (February 14), when an anti-tank mine, planted by the Houthi militia, exploded in Al-Raba&#8217; Al-Hadrami area, east of Hays district, Al-Hodeidah governorate.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In a statement, the leader of Project Masam&#8217;s Team 25, engineer Ayman Jawas, confirmed that the two children Mufeed Muhammad Zarah and Yaqoub Nazhan, were killed in the explosion of an anti-tank mine that had been converted into a victim-activated anti-personnel mine by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agilitypr.news\/Yemen-Evidence-Shows-Use-of-New-%E2%80%9CBarbar-22159\">addition of a pressure plate<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In the meantime, another child, Abdul-Malik Hassani, was wounded while the children were walking on a side road to play football, near their residential area in Hays.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Jawas added that, after Team 25 received a report of the explosion, the deminers immediately dispatched to the site of the accident. The children were tended to by medics, but sadly two died in situ.
