Him and his family left everything behind &#8211; possessions and livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>He was traveling in his truck when an anti-tank landmine exploded.\u00a0Whilst his truck was destroyed, Saeed&#8217;s legs were badly injured &#8211; a sadly daily occurrence in this heavily-mined region.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A mine exploded under me while I was returning from Al-Akhraf village and heading to my village, and when I was injured, everything in my life was shattered &#8211; financially and physically,&#8221; Saeed told Project Masam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I now feel a quarter of a human being and no longer feel like a normal person.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, Project Masam&#8217;s demining teams were called in to survey the area, and clear any landmines left behind.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are thankful for what we have. My message to the demining engineering teams is to excel in their work and clear all mines to limit the human harm,&#8221; Saeed added.<\/p>\n<p>Masam&#8217;s Teams 7, 20, 24, 26, 27 and 30 are currently operating in the Hays.
