Coastal communities in Yemen are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/masam-clears-85-anti-tank-mines-from-bab-al-mandab-coast-after-boat-hit\/\">direct victims<\/a> of these explosive items.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Some mines are laid on paved roads, thus making it easy for civilians to find them,&#8221; Amer told Masam. This is a vital area for civilians \u2013 boats transport fishermen\u2019s catch, foodstuffs and animal feed, which is then transported by road.
