Joint Operations Commander in the Yemeni army, Maj. Gen. Sagheer Hamoud bin Aziz praised what project Masam has given in two years, to clear Yemeni lands from the landmines and explosives planted by the Houthi militias.
Maj. Gen. Bin Aziz said in an exclusive interview with Masam’s media office that project Masam has given a lot in order to secure Yemeni lives and save them of the landmines and explosives planted by the Houthis, and to stop the fall of more civilian victims in all the regions where the Houthis have buried the deadly traps, underground.
The Chief of Staff added that project Masam is a noble humanitarian project that deserves appreciation, and that respect is due to its members who are sacrificing themselves for Yemen, its stability, and for the good and safety of the Yemeni people.
And regarding the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the issue of landmines in Yemen, Maj. Gen. Sagheer Hamoud Bin Aziz reiterated that the Kingdom has played an amazing role in Yemen, either by providing support to the legitimate government and army to achieve security and stability in Yemen, or through its humanitarian projects, and that Masam is one of its most important projects which was launched due to the Kingdom’s eagerness to save Yemenis’ lives from this death that the Houthis have planted underground.
Maj. Gen. Bin Aziz noted also that the extension of project Masam’s mission in Yemen for a third year is a clear evidence of the Kingdom’s eagerness to achieve security and stability in Yemen, and to clear these diseases from Yemeni lands in order for the civilians to live safely in their homes, farms and roads, and for the Yemenis to work in normal conditions.
Furthermore, the Chief of Staff indicated that the Houthi militias have mined everything in Yemen, inland and in the sea, adding that the militias have planted landmines in homes, schools, places of worship, water wells, public services and roads in order to kill and mime the Yemeni people.
And regarding the nature of coordination and cooperation between project Masam and the Yemeni army, the Chief of Staff confirmed that the cooperation is very close, because what the project does is: it clears and secures all the lands liberated by the national army, so the army liberates the land and Masam secures it and normalize life there.
And regarding the Houthis’ planting and hiding of the landmines, Maj. Gen. Sagheer Hamoud Bin Aziz reiterated that the Houthi project is a death project that tends to destroy everything in Yemen, and it aims to kill, displace and mime Yemenis because they reject abandoning their homeland.
And about the expertise of the militias in making explosives, and their methods of camoulfing and hiding them, the Chief of Staff confirmed that the Houthi militias have been trained by foreign experts, and that they have become able to transform the landmines and turn anti-tank landmines into anti-personnel landmines that target men and animals, and that they explode as soon as they are subject to a minor pressure, indicating that the Houthis are committing crimes that nobody has ever committed before.
And regarding the position of the international community vis a vis the crimes committed by the Houthi militias against Yemen and its people, Bin Aziz said that the international community is still failing Yemen in dealing with the landmines issue.
And in this context, Maj. Gen. Bin Aziz said: “We have sent many letters to the international organizations which deal with the issue of landmines and explosives, about the landmines’ crimes that the Houthi militias are committing, and their violations of international and humanitarian laws, but unfortunately, there have been no position taken from these organizations against the Houthi militias, that is why we are holding them fully responsible for the crimes, destruction, killing and miming that are happening because of the Houthis’ landmines in Yemen.
And in the end of the interview, The Chief of Staff, Joint Operations Commander, Maj. Gen. Sagheer Hamoud bin Aziz sent a message of thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the heroes of Masam who are working in the plains, mountains and coasts of Yemen sacrificing their lives to achieve security and safety for the Yemenis. He also sent a message of thanks and gratitude to project Masam’s management and to those who support and fund this giant humanitarian project, reiterating that Yemen’s leadership and people will always owe gratitude to the Kingodm of Saudi Arabia, and what it provides for Yemen.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_widget_sidebar show_bg=”false” sidebar_id=”sidebar_1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523980243435{background-color: #bfbfbf !important;border-radius: 20px !important;}”][vc_column css_animation=”slideInLeft” width=”1/6″ css=”.vc_custom_1524347545394{background-color: #a3a3a3 !important;border-radius: 15px !important;}”][vc_column_text] News [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”5/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”right” css=”.vc_custom_1524156224953{margin-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1593641580777{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #b5b5b5 !important;border-radius: 15px !important;}”]The Chief of Staff, Joint Operations Commander in the Yemeni army, Maj.
