Project Masam is a ground-breaking and unique humanitarian project conceived and delivered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to address the suffering caused by landmines and Un-Exploded Ordnance (UXO) in the Republic of Yemen. Dynasafe MineTech Ltd is proud to be part of this Project and will direct all of its 30 years of international landmine and UXO clearance experience to facilitate a speedy and safe return home to those Yemenis displaced and affected by landmines and UXO, as well as preparing the ground for early reconstruction projects.
The Project will see over four hundred Yemeni nationals, including administration support staff, properly trained and equipped to conduct the full spectrum of clearance operations throughout Yemen; the training will be conducted fully in accordance with International Mine Action Standards and the equipment will include the latest available technology.
A total of thirty-two Yemeni clearance teams, supported by experienced technical mentors, will conduct Survey and Clearance operations to open roads, provide access to key infrastructure, including schools, and assist the Yemeni people to return to their homes and livelihoods disrupted by the conflict.
Life may only return to normal when the lethal Explosive Remnants of War have all been located and removed from affecting civilian life. This is the objective of Project Masam and all those involved are privileged to be part of such a generous humanitarian initiative.
