Three civilians have been killed and injured in the explosions of Houthi landmines in the governorates of Al-Jawf, north-east of Yemen, and Lahij, in the south the same day.

Local sources in the governorate of Al-Jawf reported that Yahia Derham al-Sha’ery was injured on Sunday January 1 in the explosion of a landmine left behind by the Houthi militia in al-Yatma area, in the Khabb wa ash-Sha’af District in Al-Jawf.

Less than 24 hours earlier, Mushtaq Jamil al-Qabati was killed by a landmine in Al Qabbaytah District, north of the Lahij governorate.

Mushtaq’s father was severely wounded in the explosion.

These incidents occurred less than two days after seven civilians were killed or injured in the explosion of several Houthi mines in a number of districts south of the governorate of Al-Hudeidah, Project Masam reported.
