Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen delegation visits Masam HQ in Aden

A delegation from the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has visited the headquarters of Project Masam in Yemen’s de facto capital Aden.

The landmine clearance project is in its sixth year and has received accolades nationally and internationally.

During the visit, the delegation met a number of project officials and was briefed on the project’s achievements.

Headed by Hassan Al-Attas, SDRPY assistant general supervisor, the delegation received a detailed presentation of technical aspects related to Project Masam clearance operations from Vince Farrell, the project’s Senior Technical Advisor, and Fayez Al-Harbi, a demining expert.

During the visit, the delegation members expressed their appreciation for the project’s successes in clearing liberated lands in Yemen, and voiced their thanks to Project Masam staff for their hospitality and welcome.

The SDRPY delegation included Muhammad Al-Yahyaa, deputy director of the organisation’s office in Aden, Nayef Al-Wadaei, Operations Coordinator at the programme’s office in Aden, Abdul Rahman Al-Ruba’, energy portfolio manager, Nasser Al-Shehri, transportation portfolio manager, Mishary Al-Balawi, the projects engineer, and a number of engineers of the program’s advisory team.
