Project Masam’s foreign experts have carried out a two-day refresher training course with Team 24, introducing and providing the Yemeni deminers with new and innovative skills and methods in how to defuse and dismantle homemade explosive devices of various shapes and sizes.

Explosive devices are one of the most common bombs used by the Houthi militia in civilian areas.

In this video, Deminer Ahmed Hussein Ahmed shared his thoughts: “The course is very important because it relates to explosive devices that some people do not know about and about improvised explosive devices developed by the Houthi.”

Since mid-2018, Project Masam teams have located and destroyed 6,018 improvised explosive devices in liberated areas.
