Perhaps what Ma’rib Governorate is witnessing today of the inauguration of the first entertainment and tourism investment project around the historic Ma’rib Dam after the dam and its surroundings were a closed area due to the militia mines that infested the dam perimeter with thousands of mines and explosive devices of various shapes and sizes, is the best evidence of Masam humanitarian role in securing the land and empowering Yemenis to invest their land and reap its fruits.
The project, which Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, launched today is the first entertainment and tourism project in the governorate, as it combines tourism and entertainment, with total cost, 4 million and 500 thousand US dollars.
In a press statement, Al-Arada expressed his happiness for laying the foundation stone and inaugurated the launching of implementation works for the first service tourist resort in Marib, in addition to its importance as it is around the great Ma’rib Dam, which is one of the important touristic destinations in Ma’rib Governorate at the local and global level, also the resort’s role in Meeting the citizens and dam visitors needs from the governorate population along with the huge number of displaced people, in addition to the added value as a recreational outlet for families.
Al-Arada pointed out that this project is considered the first tourism service investment in the governorate in a way that enhances the governorate vital and unique tourism sector and encourages the rest of investors to take advantage of the promising investment opportunities provided by this sector, as Ma’rib Governorate is considered a global touristic destination.
The governor of Ma’rib added, “Through its tourist attractions, high-end resorts, and the tourism good infrastructure, we can address the world in a civilized language, highlighting the Yemenis valuable civilizational additions to humankind through various ages and stages.”
