101 civilians killed or injured by Houthi landmines in Yemen’s Al-Jawf district in 2022

The Human Rights Office in the Al-Jawf district has found 101 human rights violations caused by Houthi landmines across every district of the governorate in 2022.
In its report, the human rights office stated that in 2022, landmines caused killed 34 civilians and injured 67 – most of whom have become permanently disabled. This is in addition to 45 other civilians who were left suffering psychological trauma after witnessing accidents that have either killed or injured their relatives.
The report also mentioned also that Houthi landmines caused the destruction of 73 civilian cars during the same period in Al-Jawf.
